Membership Renewals

    Membership renewals

Current members of the RRS are expected to pay their annual dues to the society each year to help fund our activities. Dues payment can be made in the same manner as joining the society, by check or by our Paypal site through the “Donate” button on this website.

Regular membership ($40 / year)
Student membership ($20 / year)

Please make a note on your check or in your online payment that you are renewing your membership. The RRS will confirm if you are still a member in good standing. Good standing with the society requires your dues to have been paid within the last 2 years and that you have attended at least one monthly meeting or MTA event as an RRS member.

All members are expected to keep their contact information current with the society, particularly with emails. The RRS wants to keep our membership informed of changes in our meeting and launch events which can happen at the last minute (unfortunately). The RRS will attempt to track the last payments made by month and year, but it is the responsibility of each member to pay their dues on time.

One good suggestion is to pay at the start of the new year (early January) as some of our members do, however this is only a suggestion.

If your membership has lapsed (haven’t paid dues in 2 years or more), the RRS can opt to renew your membership at its discretion with payment of your annual dues and confirmation of your prior membership. The RRS does ask that all former members restoring their active status fill out an application form again. This is to assure that RRS membership records are correct and up to date.

In the past, the RRS has had lifetime membership status. All lifetime memberships at the RRS will continue to be honored, but no further lifetime members will be inducted. Membership renewal for lifetime members is not required, but the RRS does encourage all of our membership to be active with the society. It is through participation, contribution and sharing of our knowledge and resources that makes our society enduring and strong.

If you have any questions, please contact the RRS president or the RRS secretary.
