APPOINTIVE OFFICIALS
SECTION 1.
The Executive Council may appoint officials by a majority vote to provide defined functions to the Society.
All appointive officials shall serve at the discretion of the Executive Council and do not require re-election.
All appointive officials must maintain active membership by the end of each calendar year.
All appointive officials may end their term with the Society by resignation in writing submitted to the Executive Council.
SECTION 2.
The Director of Research is a special appointive position in the Society and is defined in Article XI.
SECTION 3.
The Election Chairman is an appointive position with the sole purpose of conducting the annual election of the Executive Council. Duties are further specified in Article VII.
SECTION 4.
Appointive officials in the Executive Council such as a Librarian; a Sergeant-at-Arms; an Editor of “RRS News” or its successor as the official bulletin of the Executive Council; and shall have all of their duties explicitly stated in writing and posted on the official Society website and approved and accepted by the Executive Council in writing.
SECTION 5.
Project Directors who shall be in Administrative control of the functions pertaining to a special project or activity of this Society shall serve and perform such duties as prescribed.
SECTION 6.
While projects and testing at the Society testing sites must be headed by Administrative/Lifetime members of this Society, other Members may work on such projects or testing.
